As has been mentioned, if you select 'simple automatic gearbox' in settings (controller) it will go reverse when you press brake once to stop, (if of course you are moving) then press it again and the reversing lights will come on and go backwards along with audible beeper.Turn off cloud save for this game . Delete the profile from your ets2 folder in the documents folder along with the .BAK folder . You can also delete the profile from within the game after you load it up too but make sure you turn off cloud save before ya try that way . #1.
The first pattern also has the reverse and optionally crawler gears aswell, as in RL and RH; CL and CH. Which slots are which depends on the truck and what gearbox you've put in it. You HAVE to match the setting in the controller menu or you'll get weird results when switching gears.
A few tips I've learned on how to reverse a truck and trailer, in Euro Truck Simulator 2. I hope it's useful! The best way to learn how to reverse is by experience.IMO, it works horribly bad in reverse. If you put your head out the windows and turn the steering wheel, either your sight is focused solely on the middle of trailer, useless to see the end of the trailer or you're starting to sightsee and still don't see the end of the trailer.
