Buying and then selling it only costs you 2-3k denars net, and you get a free 'switch production' when you first buy it. It takes a few weeks for the effects on the market to become evident, but eventually you'll be able to make your money back and then some by buying the cheap manufactured goods to sell elsewhere.
workshops are somehow tied to surrounding villages providing raw materials, e.g. Onira -> Silver - Silversmith (1 village) or Pen Cannoc -> Clay - Pottery Shop (2 villages), chances are the workshop will be profitable, or u can actively source cheaper raw materials and sell that to the town which will lower production cost or sell end product at towns which commands a higher price, war/siege Add a Comment. Horror-Tea. • 1 yr. ago. Wages. Workshops use up 100 denars in wages per production cycle, if the profit between input and output isn't high enough to sustain that, it wont run. Chances are your input is cheap, but so is your output. You can manipulate it a bit by buying up the output to trade, staging caravans out of the town Recruit. Apr 10, 2020. #1. For some reason several of the workshops I own are making ZERO income. There's no scope for product demand. There's no way (as far as I know) to tell what type of workshop would prosper - it's just expensive junk. Why add in the option for so many different shops with zero indication on what will do well in that A good workshop should be making around 200 denars per day, apparently, but 300+ or even 400+ are possible. In my current game, that is getting close to 200 days, I've found that the price of grain has gone completely through the floor and that breweries are good almost anywhere.
My second workshop is still stuck at 0. Not 2, not 7, 0. It really looks like a bug (recurring, because already present in 1.8). I do have : a workshop with plenty of resources a prosperous city no competing workshop in the city There is at least a huge problem of agency / readability.
kekm8 Aug 26, 2022 @ 10:12am. Oil press not making income. Hi guys, I bought in oil press in Vlandia and it doesn't seem to be making any money. When I hover over my income there is no money coming from it. I've made sure the city it's in is stocked with olives and occasionally buy oil to sell in other towns. Still no money coming from the press.

i cant figure out where i have to go to buy enterprises in this game. i cant find a guildmaster anywhere and no locations where i can buy them. its not in the trade meny either. Showing 1 - 8 of 8 comments I had a wood worker in a territory that had 2 villages making wood it made awful money, I swapped for a brewery much better despite having like one village of grain. Had similar in the northern battanian village with fur and tanneries too, brewery seems the most effective that I've tried and reliable. After I built a second workshop, they both started yielding diminishing returns, each workshop fell to less than 100% efficiency, in other words 2 shops were producing less gold than 1 shop earned in two days. Building workshops not only decreases the amount of wood available in town, it drives the prices higher, cuts your profits. I'm not sure what the symbol o the city being under siege looks like. I'll remember to look out or that and compare. I was actually thinking that is what it was, but I didn't get the circle notifications at right side of the screen, telling me the city was under siege. Also, since I thought that is what this symbol meant, I went over to the city.
