I have one and can highly recommend them. Fuel economy, as you say is top notch but tank size is a pain. There are also 2 versions, the 07-08 black one has an alloy rear subframe, the same as the challenge, the 09 has steel but has been lowered significantly. This makes luggage a bit of a pain, on top of the small tank.

The background is my 2017 3500 has a flatbed on it. I chose an ATI (Aluminum Tank Industries) AUX46R as this tank is 16 1/2" high which with the flatbed brings the tank to just a little under the rear window. While the tank is rated at 46 gallons, I have only been able to put a little over 42 gallons in it. Distributor Head outlet to the bottom of the Auxiliary Fuel Tank (2A). 12. Connect the return line hose to the LB291/2F outlet above the bottom Divertor Valve (G) and place into auxiliary Fuel Tank (2A). 13. Disconnect the vehicle fuel pump from running. 14.
