Background:- It seems that BM has gained a bad reputation and even some Fiat dealers seem to wash their hands of it. I have recently bought a Grande Punto, for my wife, and had the pleasure of getting it working A lot has been learned from trawling and searching the forums so thanks to all the helpful people out there. Hopefully this post will
My daughter's 2006 Punto has had an intermittent issue with remote central locking (sometimes worked, sometimes didn't) and now it doesn't work at all. Symptoms are: - Remote hatch release button on dash not working. Locking/unlocking using the key in the door works fine. The main problem with this situation is that it is very difficult to open
So i'd expect other dashboard related issues. LIke no fuel guage, no temperature guage, no little clock at bottom etc etc. 2 fuses tho are used to power it. F8 and F24, both 10amps. Id suspect a Communication problem or faulty dash. if no crank sensor wasn't working i;d say that was cause of dash - but engine runs yes?

The dealership then replaced the battery. That was a month ago. I went out of town for 2 weeks & when I returned the car would not start. Here is the answer according to a question posed about "city" on the dash of a Punto. It means that "City Mode" or "City Steering" is active.
